Consumer Code

The Consumer Code for Home Builders was implemented in April 2010 to make the home buying process fairer and more transparent for Home Buyers. The Code was applied to all Home Builders within the UK who are registered with the main New Home Warranty Bodies, including NHBC, Premier Guarantee and LABC Warranty. Cornovii Developments are registered with the LABC and therefore adhere to the Consumer Code.

The Code provides Home Buyers with protection and rights when purchasing a new home. The aim of the code is to ensure customer satisfaction with their new home purchase by ensuring that all New Home Buyers are:

• treated fairly;
• made aware about the service levels to be expected;
• provided with home warranty and contract information;
• provided with sufficient information to make an informed decision about their purchase before and after buying their new home; and
• know how to access a free & fast independent dispute resolution service to deal with complaints about breaches of the code.
