Sustainable Homes
All properties from Cornovii Homes are designed and built to provide sustainable living for homeowners. Through the technology and systems we use, we build homes for the future that help to reduce carbon emissions, reduce energy bills for families and emit, on average, at least 20% less CO² than a typical new build.
Our homes are developed with one of the following building specifications:
- Eco-Enhanced (20% – gas boilers & PV)
- Eco-Plus (31% – ASHPs & PV)
Eco-Enhanced is the standard specification on our properties, but all of our specifications are designed to make our homes as energy-efficient as possible.
We have developed a Sustainability Strategy which sets out the steps we are taking to improve our impact on the community and the environment. The link to the Strategy can be found here: Sustainability Strategy
We’re aiming for all of our properties to be built to the Future Homes Standard, which projects for all new build homes to emit 75-80% les CO2 than current building regulations. This follows the statement made by the Chancellor in Spring 2019: “By 2025, homes are to be future-proofed with low carbon heating and world-leading levels of energy efficiency.”
We are committed to phasing out gas, oil and LPG in our new-build properties by 2025. By adopting this approach to our builds, our homes will see a minimum 20% improvement in CO2 emissions through an improved fabric standard. By adding low-carbon heating and renewable energy systems, including solar PV panels, our homes can offer a minimum 31% improvement in CO2 emissions*.
*Dependent on build specifications
We’re also committed, via the Eco-Enhanced and Eco-Plus specifications, to providing homes with added energy-saving features such as ‘Smart’ heating* and lighting controls, energy monitoring devices, with opportunities to remotely control heating, hot water and ventilation systems via app-based controllers. Our homes are water efficient, using no more than 105 litres per person per day.
Finally, as part of a commitment to provide housing to suit future needs, Cornovii Homes will be provided with the infrastructure to install solar PV panels and EV charging points (to enable an up to 7kW rapid charger to be fitted as needed).

Sustainability
A Cornovii home is designed and built to offer each owner a highly efficient property, with enhanced levels of insulation, utilising the latest developments in heating, hot water and ventilation. Our properties achieve excellent Environmental Impact Assessment Ratings*, demonstrating ‘A’ ratings for our properties fitted with ASHPs and PV panels.
Our homes achieve excellent EPC ratings, ensuring that energy bills are greatly reduced. By making use of the very latest technology in terms of renewables, heating and ventilation system, a Cornovii home will provide a comfortable, and affordable living environment for years to come.
