With Great Sadness: The Passing of Our Chair, Derek Humphreys

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Derek Humphreys, Chair of Cornovii Developments Limited, who died peacefully on Saturday morning, with his wife Morag by his side, following a courageous two-and-a-half-year battle with cancer.

Derek brought more than 30 years of experience in the construction industry to his role, having most recently been a partner at Wilkinson Cowan Partnership. He joined the CDL Board in 2020 and became Chair in 2021. During his time with us, Derek led the organisation with unwavering commitment, good humour and a steady hand during challenging times.

Derek’s leadership and warmth left a lasting impact on all who worked with him. He will be deeply missed by the entire CDL family and by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Our thoughts are with Morag and Derek’s family and friends at this difficult time.
